The interior of this luxurious restaurant at Baur Au Lac exudes timeless elegance, balancing opulence with meticulous detailing. The space is richly layered: soft coral-red upholstered seating and patterned chairs sit harmoniously against glossy, sage-green panelled walls, inset with mirrors and adorned with curated contemporary art. Overhead, a spectacular chandelier cascades in tiers of hand-cut glass, reflecting warm light across the room and heightening the sense of grandeur.
At the foundation of this refined composition lies the wood flooring, a design element that anchors the entire interior. The floor features a deep, smoky oak tone, rich yet understated, that provides a striking contrast to the lighter, jewel-toned palette above. Its surface is finished in a luxurious satin sheen, allowing the natural character of the wood grain to remain visible while maintaining a polished, sophisticated appearance. The parquetry is laid in an intricate geometric pattern, subtly catching the eye without overpowering the room, and echoing the architectural precision of the ceiling design.
